If you love markets, Sharjah’s traditional souk is an experience you won’t want to miss. The lively, bustling atmosphere is filled with the scent of spices, the sparkle of jewelry, unique lamps
and the vibrant colors of textiles. I recommend getting lost for a few hours, chatting with the vendors, and picking up unique souvenirs. It’s a great way to experience Sharjah’s trading heritage.
3. Experience the Rain Room
One of the coolest (literally!) things I’ve experienced in Sharjah is the Rain Room. It’s an immersive art installation where you’re surrounded by falling rain—but, somehow, you never get wet! It’s truly a magical experience. It feels like stepping into another world. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for something different and creative.

4. Sharjah Safari
Have you ever dreamed of going on an African safari? If you haven’t made it to the continent yet, consider the Sharjah Safari. It’s a fantastic choice. It’s the largest safari outside of Africa. It offers a unique desert adventure. You can get up close with wildlife in its natural habitat. The experience is thrilling and the desert views are absolutely stunning.

5. Dune Bashing in Mleiha Desert
For an adrenaline rush, dune bashing in the Mleiha Desert is an absolute must! Picture this: you’re in a 4×4, speeding across massive sand dunes with breathtaking views all around you. It’s a wild ride and an unforgettable way to see the desert landscape.



6. Visit the Holy Quran Academy
Sharjah is a deeply spiritual place, and the Holy Quran Academy is one of its most important institutions. Whether you’re interested in Islamic culture or simply want to learn more about the teachings of the Quran, this is a peaceful and inspiring stop. 7. House of Wisdom
The House of Wisdom is a modern-day intellectual and cultural hub in Sharjah. 8. Al Noor Island
If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, Al Noor Island is the perfect spot to unwind. The island features lush gardens, beautiful art installations, and a Butterfly House. I can’t recommend this enough! A boat tour along Sharjah’s stunning corniche is a fantastic way to take in the city’s skyline and scenic waterfront. It’s one of those experiences where you can just sit back, relax, and appreciate the beauty of Sharjah from a different perspective.

10. Cooking Class with Jareb Tour Agency
If you want a truly hands-on experience, take a cooking class with Jareb Tour Agency. I had the chance to learn how to cook traditional Emirati dishes from local women. It was an unforgettable experience. Not only will you get to savor delicious food, but you’ll also be supporting the local community.

Where to Eat in Sharjah
1. Shababeek
Shababeek is one of those places where you can truly enjoy a taste of delicious Levantine cuisine. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere and serves dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing meal with family or friends.
2. Mavia Al Faya
If you’re looking for something more modern and scenic, I highly recommend Mavia Al Faya. This restaurant offers a contemporary dining experience surrounded by the beauty of the desert. The setting is unforgettable, and the food is absolutely top-notch. Whether you’re watching the sunset or having a special meal, it’s a truly memorable experience.
3. Al Banoosh
For an authentic, local dining experience, Al Banoosh is a hidden gem. It’s a great place to try traditional Emirati dishes like lamb, rice, and mouthwatering stews. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is laid-back, and the prices are very reasonable. It’s one of those places where you’ll feel like you’re part of the community.
